The appointment is an integral aspect of MasterCard’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its investments in the government sector across Middle East and Africa.

In his new role, Mohammed will manage expansion of the company’s government business by leveraging MasterCard’s capabilities to solve governments’ needs for efficiency, social progress, financial inclusion and overall transparency.

Operating from Dubai, Mohammed will closely concentrate on social grants, payroll disbursements, procurement, transit, and government receipts, among others.

MasterCard Middle East and North Africa division president Raghu Malhotra said that the company has been supporting governments across the globe with electronic payment programs that assist save money and improve efficiencies.

The company has started various programs with governments in Middle East and North Africa, including the UAE, Oman and Egypt.

Over the last 12 years, Qadadeh held a number of managerial roles in the MasterCard Technologies and Operations division, where he assisted shape technology strategy and vision across various platforms, including the MasterCard Data Warehouse, Global Cardholder Solutions and Rewards.
