Under the MPOS project, around 5 million cards will be rolled out initially targeted at selected merchant retail outlets, offering required data to deploy a more in-depth nationwide launch of the Ezetap MPOS technology.

Compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PADSS) global security standards, the new application comprises a lightweight and robust device that can be plugged into smart phones and tablets.

Designed considering the requirements of small merchants, the new device is beneficial for merchants with transaction volumes of less than $100,000, which allows them to accept electronic payment swiping debit, credit or prepaid cards.

The MPOS product suite includes three components a mobile phone, the MPOS card reader payment application and the Ezetap MPOS Card Reader that plugs into the mobile handset.
