Manulife Global Balanced Fund will be managed by Greg Peterson, director and senior portfolio manager, Jim Hall, chief investment officer and Paul Moroz, deputy chief investment officer, Mawer Investment Management.

Suitable for investors looking for a diversified approach to global equity and fixed income investing, the fund invests in wealth-creating firms leveraging a bottom-up brick-by-brick investment approach.

Managed by Dennis McCafferty, the US Dollar Floating Rate Income Fund generates US dollar income through investment in short duration, senior bank loans that sporadically adjust their income as interest rates rise.

Mainly investing in Canadian corporate bonds and dividend paying equities, the Canadian Conservative Balanced Fund seeks to create income and capital appreciation and has a conservative target of asset allocation of 30% equities and 70% fixed income.

The new Preferred Income Class plans to generate steady income and achieve capital appreciation by investing in preferred shares, royalty and income trusts, and fixed income securities of Canadian companies. It is managed by Randy Clair, managing director and senior fixed income strategist at Manulife Asset Management.

Operating as a division of Manulife Asset Management, Manulife Mutual provides personal wealth management products and services, including mutual funds, segregated fund contracts, annuities and guaranteed interest contracts.
