Based in Singapore, Aurangzeb will report to Greg Guyett, CEO of JP Morgan’s Global Corporate Bank and Gaby Abdelnour, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Asia-Pacific.

Aurangzeb was previously with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where he was most recently the country executive for Singapore and head of Global Banking & Markets in South East Asia and Pakistan.

Prior to that, Aurangzeb held several roles with RBS predecessor bank ABN Amro.

Before that, he held positions including global head of Portfolio Management, CFO for Loan Products and Financial Markets, and country manager for Pakistan.

Guyett said Aurangzeb has 25 years of experience in banking, gained through senior positions in Asia-Pacific and other regions of the world.

"Muhammad’s appointment will allow the bank to build on the corporate banking business in Asia-Pacific and ensure clients continue to have access to the extensive capabilities of JP Morgan, drawing on the strength of bank’s strong investment bank, treasury & securities services and asset management businesses," Guyett said.
