Yavorsky will lead the firm’s efforts to provide comprehensive balance sheet and funding strategies to its financial services clients. He will be based in New York.

Yavorsky joins the firm from Moody’s Investors Service, where he spent the last 11 years, most recently as senior analyst in the Banking, Finance and Securities Group.

Jefferies global head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets Benjamin Lorello said the rapidly changing regulatory landscape and capital structure requirements for financial institutions requires their investment banking clients to be provided with in-depth advice in connection with their financing and acquisition strategies.

"Alex Yavorsky’s extensive expertise with financial institutions across a broad range of asset classes and capital structures makes him an ideal partner to lead this important role in our Financial Institutions Group," Lorello said.
