Washington-based IT-Lifeline, a provider of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions for small and medium sized businesses, will provide a suite of recovery services for First Independent Bank.

First Independent will use IT-Lifeline’s Business Recovery Center in Liberty Lake, Washington rather than alternate recovery facilities in Oregon which could be subject to damage by the same geological, meteorological, or unplanned events as the bank.

Duane Swizer, Vice President and Director of Information Technology at First Independent, said: “Distance is always a factor for recovery solutions; too close, you may lose both primary and backup locations to the same event; too far, and accessibility is a challenge. IT- Lifeline provides a recovery solution that is perfect for us–the ideal location–safe, relatively nearby, and state-of-the-art.”

Steven Tabacek, CEO of IT-Lifeline, said: “We’re honored to see the high level of trust that First Independent is placing with us to help them ensure client access assurance and operational integrity. IT-Lifeline and Eastern Washington are quickly becoming the ideal combination for regional recovery.”

First Independent Bank, a subsidiary of First Independent Investment Group, provides commercial and consumer lending, deposit services, a suite of wealth management services and business banking for small and large businesses.

IT-Lifeline provides business with a full range of IT continuity solutions that ensure full recovery from natural disaster, system failure, unlawful or accidental intrusion, and human error.
