Christensen will assume the leadership of Invesco’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) efforts and will work further to identify, monitor and manage key risks within the business.
In addition, she will also oversee a global team responsible for all aspects of financial planning and analysis, management reporting and financial systems.
Based in Atlanta, she will report to Loren Starr, chief financial officer, Invesco.
Prior to Invesco, Christensen was senior vice president of finance and chair of the EMR committee for Franklin Templeton Investments, where she served in several roles of increasing responsibility since joining in 1989.
Starr said Suzanne Christensen joins Invesco with the broad-ranging risk management experience so critical to the success of a global asset manager.
"Her arrival reinforces Invesco’s strong commitment to risk management – one of the primary reasons we successfully weathered the recent financial crisis," Starr said.
