However, the Bank Indonesia noted that it will lift the ban based on the results of inspection and evaluation on policies, systems and procedures as well as internal supervision conducted by them.

According to the central bank, the banks that have not completed the evaluation process on all branch offices that offer priority banking/wealth management, may only receive new priority banking/wealth management customers limited to the branches that have completed their evaluation.

The central bank said that this decision was taken to encourage banks to continuously strive to raise the quality of their services, security and customer protection.
