National Bank of Arizona (NB|AZ) plans to launch its Private Bank division, which is expected to provide distinctive personal service to individuals and families within the Phoenix market.

Mary Collum, senior vice president of National Bank of Arizona, said: “It’s our way of collaborating with wealth management to provide clients with a full range of comprehensive financial management tools. The team at the Private Bank will design and implement personal, professional and philanthropic strategies that are unique as the clients who visualize them.”

NB|AZ Private Bank is expected to formally integrate National Bank of Arizona’s personal banking services with the existing investment services division, formerly known as Contango Capital Advisors (Contango). Its product offering includes a portfolio of wealth management services.

As of October 5, 2009, Contango is changing its name to NB|AZ Wealth Management. Together, NB|AZ Wealth Management and NB|AZ Private Bank will provide a suite of services to customers, claims the company.
