Trayport said the connectivity solution enables any company with its Trading Gateway Software and IDEX membership to connect directly to the entire suite of products available on IDEX.
IDEX uses SOLA exchange trading system and GlobalVision Portal provides an interface from Trading Gateway that will be optimised for integration with SOLA’s matching engine.
LSEG head of equity and derivatives markets Nicolas Bertrand said that Trayport’s technology means that IDEX will be able to better support the fast-growing and international energy trading community operating on Italian electricity futures. They therefore expect a straightforward and successful deployment of Trayport on IDEX market.

The distribution of prices and the ability to trade IDEX products through a single screen works towards one of their goals of offering market participants the simplest yet enhanced access to any available liquidity pools.
