Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has obtained a financial services operating permit from State Bank of Vietnam to open a branch in Hanoi Branch, Vietnam. This application was previously approved by the China Banking Regulatory Commission.
ICBC has said that after establishing the Hanoi Branch, marking the first branch in Vietnam, it will continue to uphold a scientific, strict business concept to actively enter Vietnam’s economic and financial circles.
ICBC in Vietnam is expected to provide financial services to corporate and individual customers. The bank intents to become a bridge and a hub for economic and financial exchange between China and Vietnam. It also plans to play a key role in serving economic and trade relations between China and Vietnam and promoting Vietnam’s economic development.
