Deployment of IBM’s Integrated Server Room (ISR) technology reduces energy consumption by 25%, while allowing the banks to offer new services like ATM, mobile banking, and online banking to customers.

Designed as a customized, pre-packaged data center primarily for small and medium businesses, the ISR platform occupies 50% less floor space, is easy to relocate, and also helps the banks to compete more effectively.

Most of the urban and rural co-operative banks in India need to manage data more securely as well as improve and expand their service options, when operating under conditions such as increasing data proliferation and stringent regulatory requirements.

Shivajirao Bhosale Sahakari Bank Ltd Electronic Data Processing Officer Tanaji K. Rode said that Indian co-operative banks need access to enterprise class technology that supports computing demands in the most cost effective manner possible.

"IBM’s ISR solution gives us an enterprise solution to quickly expand our offerings and boost the overall customer experience," he added.

Several co-operative banks such as Karad Urban Co-op. Bank, Latur Urban Co-Operative Bank, Chikhli Urban Cooperative Bank, Pondicherry Co-operative Urban Bank, Sindhudurg District Co-operative Bank, The Nawanagar Co-op Bank have also deployed IBM ISR.
