HSBC Bank Egypt offers its Premier clients the Visa PayWave Platinum Debit Card, which beyond being the first Visa contactless card in the market, offers consumers a faster way of making transactions.
Visa PayWave is a new feature that allows consumers to simply wave their contactless payment card in front of a scanner to complete the payment transaction.
Visa general manager for North and West Africa Tarek Elhousseiny said that the introduction of Visa’s contactless technology in Egypt as a means to facilitate electronic payments and the migration from cash to card.
"This advanced payment feature offers even greater convenience, while still providing the same secure, flexible, globally-accepted benefits cardholders have come to rely on in Egypt and around the world," Elhousseiny said.
HSBC PFS and branches head Nevine Taher said HSBC is a global Visa account and a great partner to launch the HSBC Visa PayWave contactless debit card in Egypt and across the region.
