The new distribution company’s first offering in the US will be Intermediate Bond Fund, which seeks long-term total return through a grouping of capital appreciation and current income by primarily investing in investment grade and high-yield China bonds.

Harvest Global Investments and its JV have plans to launch more funds, in a bid to provide various Chinese and Asian investment opportunities to help US investors in the diversify their portfolios.

The JV will be headquartered in New York and will operate as a registered broker dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC.

Harvest Fund Management CEO Henry Zhao said that the new platform will enable US investors to diversify into the attractive long-term growth trends in the Chinese and Asian economies through funds managed by the company.

Headquartered in Beijing, Harvest Fund Management has nearly $50bn in assets under management and serves more than 8 million clients.
