Pennsylvania-based Harleysville National Bank (HNB), a subsidiary of Harleysville National Corporation has launched GenGreensm a suite of banking products. The bank has claimed that its GenGreensm suite of products, consisting of GenGreensm Checking, GenGreensm Savings and e-Business Checking are fully electronic and designed to provide free, paperless banking while rewarding the customer with cash-back benefits.

The bank says that these paperless products assist customers in reducing their carbon footprint, provide personal financial security and a cost savings to the bank and to customers. The bank is offering cash back services, for using or converting their banking services to be electronic. Moreover, the bank plans to donate (up to $25,000) to local environmental initiatives such as planting trees.

Deb Takes, President and CEO of HNB, said: “We are providing a value proposition and product suite that matches our customers’ evolving banking and personal needs. We could think of no better way to celebrate 100 years of our commitment to the community than by developing products with our customers’ day-to-day banking needs and the environment in mind.”

“We have adapted to the needs of our customers and community for the past 100 years. Our GenGreensm products and tree planting efforts demonstrate our vision and commitment as we prepare for the next 100 years. We feel that undertaking a progressive environmentally-conscious campaign such as this is not only good business, it’s the right thing to do,” he added.
