Harland Financial Solutions, a Florida-based provider of software and services to financial institutions, has expanded its mobile banking services. It has launched Cavion Mobile Banking SMS, as well as a mobile banking module optimized for the Apple iPhone, to its current mobile banking offerings, which consist of stand-alone and internet banking-integrated retail and business solutions.

Reportedly, Cavion Mobile Banking SMS allows consumers to conduct account inquiries via text messaging by sending simple commands, such as ‘BAL’ for balance. It also enables consumers to access account balances, history, rates, important information, news and tips for using the service.

The bank has said that Cavion Mobile Banking SMS can be offered as a financial institution’s sole mobile banking platform or in conjunction with Cavion Mobile Banking Professional, Harland Financial Solutions’ full-featured mobile internet banking platform.
