Datacard Group said that the software enables the credit union to issue and activate the debit cards immediately, so members can start using their debit cards after opening a checking account or requesting a replacement debit card.

The credit union has implemented Datacard CardWizard software across its 15 US branch locations around New England.

CardWizard software, a PCI PA-DSS compliant software, has the ability to interface with credit union’s core banking technology, enabling easy implementation for automated instant issue, PIN selection, rePIN and instant activation.

For card production, HarborOne will be utilizing the Datacard FCP 20/20 card printer, which offers security features that meet established specifications for the instant issuance of Visa debit cards.

Instant card issuance and activation is part of Datacard Group’s Secure Issuance Anywhere infrastructure which includes scalable, flexible hardware, software, supplies, consultation and project management for any card issuance or personalization environment.

These card programs can include central or instant issuance, PIN selection and PIN change, embossed or unembossed cards, mobile payments including contactless, NFC and EMV-compliant personalization applications.
