The total revenue for the fourth quarter of 2011 was $1.16bn, compared to $1.07bn for the same period a year ago.

Processing and services revenue was $915m, compared to $870m for the same period in the last year.

Product revenue was $246m, compared to $208m for the same period in the prior year.

Operating income was $281m, compared to $267m for the same period in the previous year.

Fiserv president and CEO Jeffery Yabuki said that revenue growth in the quarter was at its highest level in more than three years. Two consecutive years of strong sales along with the introduction of new, highly valued solutions, have the firm well positioned to deliver additional client value and enhance growth.
