The customers of Fiserv using PEP+ application can process low value, cross-border payments with ease, said the firm.
PEP+ is an online, real-time solution for originating and receiving ACH payments, which assists the users to provide international payments, claims Fiserv.
The new offering will act as a single platform for both domestic and international cross-border payments processing.
Fiserv digital payments solutions group president Rahul Gupta said that PEP+ is the leading domestic ACH processor and now, with the integration with Earthport, the firm will expand that reach globally.
"The commitment that we have always shown to payments within the U.S. will now expand to cross-border ACH payments – a capability our customers have requested," Gupta said.
A study reveals that out of total e-Commerce transitions, 15% was executed by international buyers, while people across the world sent more than $440bn in 2012, as remittance payment to their kith and kin, reflecting huge growth potential in this segment.
Earthport executive director Paul Thomas said that the collaboration with Fiserv will deliver significant value to PEP+ clients and provide them one window for both domestic and international low value payments processing.
"Regulation is demanding more transparency for cross-border payments, and our innovative technology platform was designed from the outset to address this requirement for cross-border corporate and consumer payments," Thomas said.
