Connecticut-based Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust has chosen Arcot Systems’ A-OK versatile authentication service, to provide an additional layer of security for its members’ only web site and secure online banking. Arcot has said that Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust differentiates itself through its member-centric philosophy and the customised service provided to their high net worth clientele.

The ArcotID secure software credential provides two-factor authentication while maintaining a simple online experience for Fieldpoint Private’s members. In addition, the Arcot solution provides self-service enrollment and FYP (forgot-your-password) processes and has easy-to-use roaming capabilities.

Joe Larizza, chief administrative officer at Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust, said: “Member information security is a top priority for us at Fieldpoint Private. We want our members to have a seamless, integrated web site and account transaction experience that is safe and easy to use, and simple for us to administer. In addition, we wanted to use a two-factor authentication solution that complies with FFIEC guidelines but didn’t want to force our customers to use hardware tokens. The Arcot A-OK service met those requirements and allowed us to implement strong, two-factor authentication without having to install an authentication infrastructure on-premise. Fieldpoint Private can now provide all the benefits of multifactor authentication to our Members without having to build out our internal IT infrastructure.”

Carol Alexander, VP of marketing, at Arcot Systems, said: “Cloud computing for fraud detection and strong authentication is a significant area of growth for Arcot. Our customers can feel comfortable that their information is privacy-protected and secure in our SAS 70 certified, PCI DSS-compliant data center that employs highly-scalable, configurable level 4 SaaS architecture. A-OK gives Fieldpoint Private the ability to enhance the security of its members’ transactions without changing the user experience.”
