Aventus Capital is the investment management arm of the Cheltenham commercial and private client law firm Rickerbys.
The purchase increases the total assets European Wealth has under management to more than GBP130m.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen the existing European Wealth operations in Cheltenham to form an eight strong team of professionals offering wealth management advisory services.
European Wealth Group CEO Rod Gentry said that the Aventus team are highly experienced with strong technical capabilities, solid systems and infrastructure and they are delighted that they will be joining them to further enhance the services to their clients.
Rickerbys managing partner Anne Compton said joining forces with a business that shares such a similar ethos and culture was extremely important to them and their clients will now be able to benefit from the seamless integration of financial planning with their existing investment management.
