I-Score managing director Mohamed Refaat El Houshi said that credit should be provided appropriately and managed effectively and the new analytics and software will enable banks across the country to take faster credit decisions, while controlling risk.

The credit origination service, which was unveiled in 2012, is based on a multi-tenant installation of FICO Blaze Advisor business rules management system, hosted by I-Score.

Comprising FICO developed credit risk analytics, the service enables banks to swiftly deploy preconfigured strategies that meet the Egyptian regulations, while changing their lending criteria to match risk appetite and market demands.

The credit origination service, which is available as a hosted solution, allows member lenders irrespective of their size to securely access FICO’s advanced analytics and decisioning capabilities.

I-Score gathers both negative and positive data on all loans from the Egyptian banks, which banks can combine with FICOanalytics to make lending decisions based on highly accurate forecasts of consumer credit risk.
