Bodson, who will continue as a director on the company’s board, succeeds Donald Donahue who will retire at the end of July.

He will also serve as CEO of DTCC’s principal operating subsidiaries the National Securities Clearing Corporation, The Depository Trust Company, and the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation.

Bodson joined DTCC in 2007 as executive managing director for business management and strategy, where he was responsible for consolidating the product management of all the company’s business lines, strategic planning, relationship management and marketing under one umbrella.

Prior to joining DTCC, Bodson held a number of senior management positions with Morgan Stanley over a 20-year period.

DTCC executive chairman of board Robert Druskin said that this appointment is part of the company’s long-term leadership succession strategy.

"Mike is a seasoned executive who has demonstrated significant ability to transform our business, manage risk, and increase transparency for our client partners especially during the last few years of market volatility and industry change," Druskin said.
