MobiTransact provides both text and browser support to a variety of mobile devices. With MobiTransact, Alpine Bank can provide its customers immediate access to their accounts, anywhere at any time, without requiring an online banking account.

The Alpine Bank will also upgrade its network with Diebold’s 60 Opteva ATMs by installing Agilis 2.4 software across its fleet and deploying deposit automation, which enables envelope-free deposits at any time of day or night.

Kjerstin Hill, assistant vice president of internet services at Alpine Bank, said: “Diebold’s MobiTransact promises to go far beyond the basic account balance inquiries, transfers and text alerts commonly found in today’s solutions. In our extremely competitive environment, customer retention and acquisition is a top priority. MobiTransact will serve as a direct pathway for us to build stronger relationships by enabling us to initiate conversations with our customers about timely, relevant situations through their most trusted and omnipresent device – their cell phone.”

Charles Ducey, executive vice president of North America operations at Diebold, said: “In addition, the role mobile banking plays in helping financial institutions integrate delivery channels is critical. It’s that level of integration that captures – and keeps – their customers’ attention.”
