Based in Dubai, El Masri will be responsible for the wealth management business for private clients across the entire region.

She will report to Marco Bizzozero, CEO of Deutsche Bank Switzerland and head of Private Wealth Management for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Serene will be a member of the EMEA executive committee.

El Masri will join Deutsche Bank from BNP Paribas, where she was CEO wealth management Middle East & North Africa.

Bizzozero said that the Middle East & Africa region is of strategic importance to Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management. Serene has many years of experience with UHNWIs in that region.

"I am very confident that with her appointment, we are very well positioned to build up our presence in the region, to leverage on our one-bank strategy and to bring Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management global services close to sophisticated private clients in this key region," Bizzozero said.
