Along with the ATMs, DBS’ network of self-service machines includes 230 Cash Acceptance Machines (CAMs), 650 AXS Stations, 30 coin deposit machines and nine cheque deposit machines. Most of the new ATMs will be located at SMRT MRT stations, including 16 SMRT Circle Line stations.
Rajan Raju, group executive of bank consumer banking group at DBS, said: “The expansion of DBS’ already extensive local network is part of our efforts to reach out to our four million customers. The increase of the number of self-service machines and the successful launch of our mobile nanking platform are part of our ongoing initiatives to make banking even more accessible to Singaporeans on-the-move.
“The ATM will remain a key point of contact for many of our customers. The agreement with SMRT further extends our longstanding partnership to the SMRT Circle Line, allowing us to serve the 200,000 commuters who are expected to use the line daily. With our expansive network of ATMs, AXS Stations and CAMs, our customers will be able to perform their banking transactions 24/7, all across Singapore.”
