The bank has also rehired Atsushi Mizuno, former member of the policy board of the Bank of Japan, as vice chairman of fixed income in Asia Pacific. He will be based in Hong Kong.
Mr Ghosh and Mr Mizuno will play a key role in developing senior client relationships and provide strategic input for the development of Credit Suisse’s fixed income department in Asia Pacific. They will report to Carsten Stoehr, head of fixed income, Asia Pacific.
Mr Stoehr said: “I am delighted that Mr Mizuno has agreed to come back to Credit Suisse after a distinguished career at Bank of Japan. His knowledge and strong relationships across the industry, government and business will be invaluable to our further success in the region.”
