Credit Suisse has appointed Doug Cliggott as the US equity strategist. His appointment is effective immediately. Reportedly, in this new role, Mr. Cliggott will be responsible for determining and communicating Credit Suisse’s recommendations for US equity strategy within the equity research department. He will be based in Boston in 2010 after working in New York for the balance of this year.

Mr. Cliggott joins Credit Suisse after serving as chief investment officer at Dover Management in Greenwich. Previously, he also held positions at Merrill Lynch, Danske Bank and JP Morgan.
