Barclays Capital has appointed Thomas King as co-head of corporate finance within the firm’s investment banking division. Mr King will be based in London and will partner with New York-based Ros Stephenson, the current co-head of corporate finance, to lead Barclays Capital’s industry and country coverage efforts on a global basis. Both will report to Hugh McGee, head of global investment banking.

Mr. King joins Barclays Capital from Citigroup where he was most recently head of banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Mr McGee said: “Mr King’s vast experience across sectors and geographies will be invaluable as we increase the scale of the firm’s global investment banking business to serve our clients worldwide. His decision to join Barclays Capital is a testament to the momentum in our franchise, and I look forward to working with him as we continue the build-out of our global full-service product offering.”
