ConvergEx, a provider of investment technology solutions and global agency brokerage services, has hired Robert O’Brien to establish a sales trading team in San Francisco, California and to expand the firm’s west coast presence.
Mr. O’Brien joins the firm from Thomas Weisel Partners, where he was a partner. He has over 20 years of experience in equity and sales trading. Prior to his role at Thomas Weisel Partners, Mr. O’Brien also held positions with Bankers Trust, Prudential Securities and S.G. Cowen.
