Commenting on the new offerings, BofA said that the customers will have the ability to completely manage their finances through their mobile device, from depositing a check, to paying friends and family, to reviewing balances among others.

BofA consumer marketing and online and mobile executive Aditya Bhasin said the bank’s customers are living in a more connected world and that extends to their financial lives.

"Our new capabilities deliver the full bank in our customers’ hands," Bhasin added.

The US lender said that its Mobile Check Deposit function facilitates to deposit checks easily and securely, and eliminates the need to visit the ATM or banking center.

Currently, the application is available on iPad and will be available in the coming weeks on iPhone, Google Android smartphone or tablet and Windows mobile.

Using the latest Mobile Check Deposit interface, consumers can avail the facility of person-to-person email and mobile transfers, enabling them to conduct person-to-person transfers through online banking or a smartphone using only an e-mail address or mobile phone number.

The new offering is safe and secure, as the users need not to share personal account information, which eliminates any risk of identity theft, the bank said.
