Grinewicz joined Columbia Bank in 1986 as a commercial lender and was promoted to senior commercial lending officer in 1987.

He was later promoted to vice president of Loan Review in 1988, to director of Internal Loan Review in 1989 and to vice president of Commercial Lending Officer 1990.

Grinewicz became vice president of Special Assets in 1991 and was appointed executive vice president, chief lending officer in 2001.

He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of TICIC, a trade association network that provides long-term financing for senior citizen housing throughout New Jersey.
