Mr Knapp has served as chairman of the board, president and CEO of American Savings, FSB since 1977. Mr Knapp will continue to serve as chairman of the board of the bank. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Purdue University.
Donald Harle, a member of the board of directors of the company and the bank, said: We are very appreciative of the excellent service and commitment that Mr Knapp has made to the company and the bank over his nearly 30 years of service and look forward to the continuation of that service and commitment from Mr Mellon.
