The bank had adopted Fiserv’s mobile banking system in 2010, and the current upgrade will enable it to deliver mobile account and payment capabilities to consumers, without having an existing banking relationship.

The new system facilitates person-to-person payments, bill payments, mobile phone top ups and cash deposits and withdrawals through ACLEDA branches, ATMs and offline offices.

Consumers can avail the mobile banking facility by opening a mobile only account, dubbed as Unity Account, through which they can complete transactions, the bank said.

Fiserv digital channels mobile solutions senior vice president and general manager Adam Clark said, "Mobiliti Reach is a quick and cost-effective way for banks to reach un-tapped markets, and it is built on the same industry-leading Mobiliti platform, resulting in lower operational costs for the mobile channel."

The bank manages 237 branches with the help of 7,436 staff and serves 1.2 million customers members across the country.
