According to the company, customers will be able to accrue cash rebates from debit card usage that can be used to redeem for free SMRT rides. The Citibank tap & save account is a checking and savings account with interest rates that increase as the monthly balance grows.
This new product is the latest initiative that Citibank is launching as part of its strategic partnership with SMRT.
As an integrated debit, ATM and EZ-Link card, the Citibank-SMRT Visa platinum debit card offers full access to Citibank ATMs and the ATM network in Singapore, as well as more than 820,000 Citibank, Visa and Plus ATMs worldwide. With the Visa debit feature, cardholders can also pay for their purchases via Visa point of sale terminals.
