Citibank Pakistan has introduced Online Merchant Program (OMP) for its online platform. Through this facility, customers can make electronic payments online for academic institutions, charities and clubs and pay their utility bills through either their credit card or directly through their bank accounts.

Citi claimed that its OMP ensures the timely collection of payments from customers. OMP, with its real-time processing, allows to track payments and download the history of all payments made to date, ensuring proper systems security.

Aziz Rahman, head of corporate banking at Citi Pakistan, said: “This initiative links our retail consumers with our corporate clients across Pakistan and will prove to be an extremely powerful tool for both segments given the benefits of ease of use, efficiency and cost effectiveness.”

Salman Hussain, product head at Citi Pakistan, said: “Citi is proud to have pioneered yet another first in Pakistan’s online banking facilities with our OMP. We hope to tap new markets and potential clients by bringing the bank to their homes.”
