Citi also established a client service team in Dublin as part of its effort to service private equity clients across the region.
The bank said that the expansion of the services is in line with the existing funds businesses in both Luxembourg and Jersey and it strengthens the private equity capabilities in the EMEA space.
Citi Private Equity Services global head Joe Patellaro said Kamran’s broad exposure throughout Citi and his experience with several markets, governments and client segments will be a critical factor as Citi expands private equity services in EMEA.
Kamran joined the Citi in 1993 in Salomon Brothers’ Investment Banking division in New York. He has since worked in various areas and regions including South Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Kamran was the M&A Advisory head and then led strategy and planning for the Middle East based in Dubai. Subsequently he led Citi’s proprietary M&A efforts for the Global Transaction Services business covering EMEA based in London.
