David Silber has joined as a managing director and head of Flow Equity Derivatives Sales, while Peter Lambrakis has been appointed as the managing director and head of Equity Derivatives Trading.
Silber joined Citi from Jeffries & Co and will report to Simon Yates, global head of Equity Derivatives and Brennan Warble, head of sales.
He also worked at Susquehanna International as an associate director, according to Citi.
Having started his career as a quant developer at O’Connor and Associates, before moving to Susquehanna as a derivatives trader, Lambrakis joined Citi from Deutsche Bank and will report to Yates and Kevin Russell, head of Equities Trading for the Americas.
Yates said, "I am confident that their backgrounds will complement our existing strengths as we continue to increase market share and expand our Equity Derivatives capabilities."
Trading in more than 160 geographies, Citi provides consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
