Charles Schwab said that the new application will offer clients a view into their broader financial picture with Schwab from their iPhone, including Schwab Bank and brokerage accounts, Schwab 529 College Savings Plans and their Schwab-administered 401(k) and stock option plans.
Clients will also have access to other commonly used mobile features, including online trading; transaction histories for bank and brokerage accounts; market information with real-time access to quotes, charts and watch lists; and detailed position data and trade order status for brokerage accounts.
Schwab Investor Services senior vice president Jonathan Craig said clients want fast and convenient access to their Schwab accounts and financial information so they can make informed, real-time decisions anywhere at anytime.
Schwab said it is planning additional mobile enhancements in 2011 that will include the ability to transfer funds, pay bills and deposit checks, as well as an application for the Android.
