The appointment of Goldman is a continued step in the strategic expansion of the firm’s European business.

Most recently, Goldman served as an advisor to a Macro-Economic Investment Fund at Zolotov Trust.

Prior to that, he was managing director of Fixed Income Sales and Trading at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International.

In addition, Goldman was managing director of Institutional Client Businesses at BNP Paribas. He also served in a number of senior management roles including managing director, head of European Fixed Income Sales at Societe Generale, Nomura Securities and Merrill Lynch.

Cantor Fitzgerald added nearly a hundred sales and trading professionals in 2010, strengthening its global presence in response to client interest and demand for broader product and service penetration.

It is focused on a capital structure-centric business model and cross-market strategy, and is committed to growing its equities, fixed income, and investment banking businesses in key global markets.
