ATM-based interactive video technology will enable the customers to converse to a live remote teller, while giving the teller remote control over the machine to conduct transactions.

With the adoption of the new technology, the bank will offer remote teller services six days a week, excluding Sunday, while doubling the availability of its branch service hours.

Cadence Bank CEO Sam Tortorici said that the remote tellers allow the bank to efficiently increase its service hours without substantially increasing operational cost.

Using NCR APTRA Interactive Teller’s advanced capabilities, customers can carry out deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, bill and loan payments, account transfers, opening new accounts and initiating loans.

Besides allowing the lender to provide secure teller services during non-traditional banking hours, the new technology will offer full teller services in areas not served by branches, claims the bank.

The bank will install the two APTRA Interactive Tellers by this fall, while an additional drive-up and two walk-up APTRA Interactive Tellers will be installed later this year.

Cadence Bank manages more than 100 locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
