CA, Affiliated Computer Services, have signed a multi-year agreement to utilise CA mainframe and distributed Enterprise IT Management systems across the ACS platform.
The agreement expands the companies’ prior relationship beyond the mainframe, and adds comprehensive new capabilities to help ACS manage the performance, security and governance of its clients’ business applications.
Reportedly, CA’s offering will enable ACS to enhance its operational efficiency and expand the IT and business process services. It will also use CA’s offering to help reduce its carbon footprint through management of energy consumption.
The new CA offering deployed at ACS include Energy and Sustainability Management, Project and Portfolio Management, Application Performance Management, Infrastructure Management, Workload Automation, Storage and Recovery Management and Governance, and Risk and Compliance Management.
Dennis Kozak, senior vice president of global service providers at CA, said: With CA solutions, service providers and enterprises can reduce waste and dramatically increase the value that IT delivers to internal and external customers, which is the foundation of CA’s Lean IT approach. We are delighted to build on our 15-year track record of mainframe management success at ACS with this deeper relationship.
CA and ACS also plan to partner on new offerings to address the challenges like management of cloud computing.
