BTIG, a broker dealer specialising in institutional trading and related brokerage services, has appointed Vikas Tandon as managing director and head of high yield and distressed analytics with BTIG’s global fixed income group.

Reportedly, Mr. Tandon joined BTIG from Joshua Tree Capital Management, a distressed fund focused on illiquid securities that he founded in 2007. Prior to that, he worked for Lonestar Capital Management and has also held positions at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and UBS.

Steven Starker, co-founder of BTIG, said: “Mr. Tandon is a significant addition to our growing fixed income team. His extensive experience will enable us to focus on the credits most important to our clients, and ensure that the form and substance of our analytical reports are of the highest regard.”
