The company expects to commence investment operations in these funds on from December 2011.

Brookfield Investment Management CEO and chief investment officer Kim Redding said these funds will draw upon our considerable experience in specialized asset classes and provide both institutional and retail investors with an efficient means of accessing our knowledge.

"The investment strategy of each fund is built upon our core competencies and experience in managing global REITs, global infrastructure securities and corporate high yield debt. In managing the new funds, our investment teams will utilize a consistent, value-based approach and a disciplined investment process, which endeavors to enhance returns for our clients," added Redding.
