The asset management firms said that Hynes will oversee its marketing strategy, while Murphy will take charge to enhance its research effort.

Prior to joining Briarwood Capital, Hynes was serving as a founding partner and chief financial officer (CFO) for the New York securities broker-dealer, RW Pressprich from 1990 until 2012.

Dennis also served as the RW Pressprich chief market strategist and prior to 1990, held management positions at Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns.
