Brannen Bank has implemented a suite of imaging services from VSoft, a provider of process improvement services for financial institutions, to achieve a complete imaging system, capitalizing on the benefits provided by Check 21.

With VSoft’s services, Brannen Bank moves from a paper-based system to a completely electronic process. VSoft’s branch capture service allows Brannen Bank to capture images at its branch locations and electronically sends the images and the magnetic ink character recognition data to the central location, thereby eliminating geographic boundaries and the need to physically transport the checks.

Brannen Bank produces electronic cash letters for exchange directly with the Federal Reserve Bank eliminating the need to encode and courier outbound checks. The bank also accepts returned items as images, removing the time-consuming process of handling day two processing. Brannen Bank also uses VSoft’s image archive and research system to analyze transactions, deposits and returns.

Alfred Romagnolo, executive vice president of Brannen Banks Services, the processing arm at Brannen Bank, said: By implementing an end-to-end check imaging solution, we have enhanced operations, significantly reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction. We are committed to providing new and innovative products and services to our customers, and VSoft’s solutions enable us to provide the best service possible.
