In the newly created role, Caire will assist the firm’s strategic business development across the region.
Based in Hong Kong, Caire will report to Alan Harden, Asia-Pacific CEO of BNY Mellon Investment Management.
Caire, who has over 19 years’ experience in the Asian financial services industry, joins BNY Mellon from ING Investment Management where most recently she was head of business management after starting there as regional head of product development.
Harden said that Asia-Pacific is strategically a very important market for the company and it is very serious in its ambitions to become one of the premier investment management firms in the region.
"We will do this by strengthening our distribution, both in-country and regionally, by developing our Asian equity capabilities in the region, and by building local and innovative product solutions, tailored to the needs of both our local and global clients," Harden said.
