BNY Mellon Corporate Trust has also appointed Jose Elias Sahab into its Global America sales team as head of sales, Mexico and Colombia.

Based in Mexico City, Sahab will be responsible for developing the firm’s debt capital markets business across the region.

Sahab will report to Erin Courcey, managing director and head of sales for Canada and Latin America at BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.

Before joining BNY Mellon, Sahab worked at Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), where he was general counsel of finance. Before that, he was chief of staff at the Ministry of Public Control (formerly known as SECODAM).

Chaliha said that both Jorge and Jose are industry veterans with deep understanding of the financial marketplace in Mexico and their appointments significantly improve BNY Mellon’s ability to meet its clients’ needs.
