Whitaker will succeed Marina Lewin, who was recently moved as global head of sales for AIS.

Mannion will assumes the new role having transitioned from his position as managing director of European business for the former PNC Global Investment Servicing unit acquired by BNY Mellon in 2010.

Whitaker and Mannion will continue to be based in New York and Dublin, respectively, and report to Brian Ruane, BNY Mellon AIS CEO.

Whitaker will oversee relationship management teams in the Americas across all AIS client segments – hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, prime custody and private equity administration.

Most recently, Whitaker was head of the alternative fund client management team and has previously held senior positions in the firm’s corporate restructuring and global client management groups. He joined BNY Mellon in 1989.

Mannion will assume responsibility for relationship management throughout the EMEA region. He joined PNC in 1998 and has led that group’s European business since 2006. He has 16 years experience in the alternatives business.

Ruane said that the in their new roles, Jim and Mark will enable the company to consistently deliver ‘the whole company’- deepening relationships with clients to ensure they’re aware of the products and services across BNY Mellon that can support their business and help them grow.
