Tomlin will be responsible for leading UK institutional business development with responsibility for existing as well as new relationships with corporate and local authority pension funds and endowments.
He will report to Jonathan Lubran, executive director of institutional business for BNY Mellon Asset Management.
Tomlin will join BNY Mellon from Dimensional Fund Advisors, where he served as head of Institutional Business Development for the UK & Ireland.
Tomlin has over 20 years of experience in the investment management, starting his career as a Eurobond trader for New Japan Securities, a subsidiary of IBJ.
For the last 13 years, he has worked in institutional sales and business development roles, including as head of UK, Ireland and Monaco Business Development for Ermitage, as corporate sales director for Aviva Fund Management and as head of UK institutional sales for Societe Generale Asset Management.
